It's Read-A-Thon Time!
Our annual Read-A-Thon kicks off with an assembly on Friday, March 1. The idea is to encourage students to read, read, read!
Packets will go home with students on Friday. Students can begin collecting pledges over the weekend, then will log minutes read from Monday, March 4 through Sunday, March 10. All book encounters count, whether it's reading in the classroom or at home, for homework or for fun, reading themselves or being read to.
On Monday, March 11, students can collect pledges, and packets should be returned on Tuesday, March 12. All funds raised will go to our fabulous PTO. Prizes will be awarded for both reading and fundraising, and all students who log minutes read will receive a prize. Families, please initial student minutes!
Prizes: Top readers at each grade level will receive Get Air passes. Top readers in each class will get MOD Pizza certificates. And three readers in each class will receive a pass for the Adventure Children's Museum.
Family Reading Night: We hope all will join us on Thursday, March 7, at 6 p.m. for stories, crafts and cupcakes! It's always a fun, festive event. Each student attending can pick out a book to bring home, and all reading time can be logged!
